The three wheeled ZAP Alias electric vehicle prototype has been filmed out side Applied technologies headquarters. The Alias is headed to california for engineering work to be completed.
The Alias, which ZAP plans to sell next year for about $33,000, has two seats side-by-side, three wheels, and a power pack that relies on advanced lithium-ion batteries. The company claims the highway-rated vehicle will be able to travel in excess of 100 mph, and have a range in excess of 100 miles before needing a charge, which Mr. Starr said would cost less than a dollar in most markets. Even though the Alias has only three wheels it can go from 0 to 60mph in 5.7 seconds.
